Attendees will have the chance to network with other Native American business owners and participate in a guided discussion about obstacles you face as a tribal entrepreneur. Each of our meetups will feature a different speaker that has been inspired to share with us their insights and strategies to engaging and growing your business. In addition, find out what the Sault Tribe Business Alliance is and how membership can benefit you!
October 9th | 4:30pm - 6:30pm EST
October’s meeting will feature our very own Rachel Mandelstamm. Rachel is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the owner of Eagle’s Dream, LLC. Rachel will speak about building community where you are as she currently resides in North Carolina, very far from the Sault. Rachel has been able to reach out to local tribes and indigenous communities to make connections both personally and professionally. Rachel will talk about the steps she took to build her business and do business with other tribes.

-The Sault Tribe Business Alliance
“In 2019 I founded Eagle’s Dream as an authentic Female Native American owned company specializing in Native American Streetwear. I am part of the Chippewa Indian Tribe of Sault Saint Marie, Michigan. My passion has always been working with our native youth. I have ran after school programs, led the tribal youth council, led day camp programs, coordinated youth powwows, and served as the Youth Education and Activities Coordinator for my tribe.
I deeply enjoy sewing, creating and designing items that reflect my tribal heritage. I specialize in making ribbon skirts, dream catchers, sewing applique, and custom embroidery.
I teach ribbon skirt classes to native adults and youth ensuring the preservation of our heritage and traditions.
Additionally, I was a featured designer in the first Native American Fashion Show at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where models wore 12 of my custom designed ribbon skirts. In my free time I enjoy taking classes to learn my native Anishinaabemowin language and hand drumming.”
